Preschool Story Time

Reading and sharing stories can help your child get to know sounds, words and language, and develop early literacy skills. And it's lots of fun!
Thursdays  at 11 am, ages 3-8. 
New session starts in February 2023.

Tina's Tiny Tots

Children birth to 3 and their parent/guardian are invited to  register for this fun, fast-moving program designed for toddlers!

Family Story Time

Miss Tina will read a story about the monthly theme.  Afterward the children can express themselves through art, writing, and reading utilizing the provided learning stations. Families are encouraged to bring something theme-related (not food!) to share and be put on display at the library for the remainder of the month. 
Monthly Wednesdays at 1 pm, registration required.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten  

The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless. Read any book to your baby, infant and/or toddler. The goal is to read 1,000 books before your precious one starts kindergarten.
Download or pick up a reading journal at the Putnam Public Library, and every time your child reaches the goal of 100 books he/she will receive a FREE book! 

Awe Early Literacy Stations 

The Children's Room has three computers designed especially for Pre-K to third grade users. 
These durable, child-friendly computers are loaded with more than forty top-rated developmental software titles in a full range of curriculum areas such as reading, writing, phonics and more.
