Welcome to the Office of the Town Clerk
The Town Clerk’s office is the bustling hub of local government, linking citizens with the documentation of their town’s business and events. Putnam’s archives are a priceless resource, essential to nearly every area of local government, businesses, historians, and the general public.
We opened to the public on June 15th. The hours listed on the left are in general. Some days might change with out notice. If you need to come into the office, please wear a mask and respect the distance between people. We have a limit of 2 people at the counter and 3 people in the vault.
We encourage people to continue to use the mail for Vital requests, recordings and dog licenses. Please click the appropriate link on the left side of this page for more details. The Town Clerk will continue to wave any credit card processing fee. She has also made it free to view land records online. For local recordings and packages, we have a drop box located outside of the Town Clerk's entrance.
