Town of Putnam Offices and Operations during Covid-19

The Town of Putnam has been working closely with emergency management, the hospital and various state agencies to best continue to provide services to our Town’s population, while also taking precautions to keep our workers and community safe. While many of the Town’s essential services will continue uninterrupted, other offices will have limited in-person availability. Our Water Pollution Control Authority will continue providing safe drinking water to all served residents. There will be no water shut-offs during this time. The Town Hall will be closed to everyone except employees for the foreseeable future. The  Town Clerk will waive the fee for online payments for statistical records. The Highway Department has suspended accepting any waste drop-offs, including mattresses, until further notice. The Library is closed to the public, with potential future provisions for outside pick-up. All Town departments will update their department links with communication methods, accessible from the main page www.putnamct.us . Please use phone and email correspondence as much as possible. The Town Hall phone number is 860-963-6800. Note that we will be using teleconference and/or web-based Public Meetings instead of in-person, please see notices regarding joining options as posted on the website. The Town Hall and all staff wish our community well during this very challenging time, and we will continue to do our best to serve the Town’s residents and business owners.
