Bald Eagle photographed in Putnam

While my friend and fellow Troop 21 Assistant Scoutmaster Casey Dundon and I were out delivering poinsettias on Church Street in Putnam, Connecticut, at about 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017, he spotted a bald eagle sitting in a tree on the shore of the Quinebaug River, across the street from the Daughters of the Holy Spirit Provincial House. I took these photos from the driver’s seat of my car, when we stopped in front of Gilman and Valade Funeral Home to get a better look.   – John Ryan
