The WPCA's water system has a design capacity of 3.4 MGD with an average daily flow of 800,000 gpd from the WPCA's water treatment plant using surface water sources and approximately 400,000 gpd from wells. In June 2002, the American Water Works Association conferred its Partnership for Safe Water Director's Award on the WPCA's water treatment plant; this award recognizes systems which have excelled in performance improvements.
WPCA bills become due and payable during the months of January, April, July and October. If you do not receive a bill in the mail, contact the Town of Putnam's WPCA Office at (860) 963-6819, and they will supply you with a copy.
If you have questions regarding the consumption or breakdown of charges on your bill, if you have have a service issue or a problem with water quality, please contact the WPCA Customer Service number at (860) 963-6800 Extension 120.
