Putnam Saturday Farmers Market

Customers ways to pay at the market:

Cash - All vendors accept cash.

Checks - Some vendors may accept personal checks, be sure to check with the individual farmer or artisan.

At the Market Managers Table:

Debit Cards - You can use your debit card to purchase wooden tokens in $5 increments. These tokens are accepted by all vendors and may be used for both food and non-food items. You can use the tokens to receive change. Tokens are only accepted at the Putnam Saturday Farmers Market. They do not need to spend on the same day; however, they need to use within the same year. The PSFM does not accept credit cards.

EBT/SNAP - You can use your SNAP/EBT benefit card to purchase wooden tokens in $1 and $5 increments. These tokens can only be used to purchase those edible items allowed by the SNAP regulations. You may not receive change with these tokens per SNAP regulations.

Other Forms of payment:  Senior Farmer's Market card, cards took the place of paper coupons.  

Farmers Market Nutrition Program/WIC - Most farmers accept the electronic cards for WIC/Sr. Farmer's Cards.  Purchases cannot be made on non-food products per regulations. 

Directions:

The Putnam Saturday Farmers' Market (PSFM) is held under the Putnam Riverview Marketplace Pavilion, located at 18 Kennedy Drive in Putnam, CT. There is a parking lot there which is shared with the Putnam Lions Memorial Dog Park.

Kennedy Drive follows the beautiful Quinebaug River from the heart of Putnam, to the north, to Exit 95 of I-395, to the south. If you prefer walking, head toward the southern end of the Quinebaug River Trail and it goes right by the Marketplace pavilion.
