WPCA's water system has a design capacity of
3.4 MGD with an average
daily flow of 800,000 gpd
from the WPCA's water treatment
plant using surface water
sources and approximately
400,000 gpd from wells.
In June 2002, the American
Water Works Association
conferred its Partnership
for Safe Water Director's
Award on the WPCA's water
treatment plant; this award
recognizes systems which
have excelled in performance
improvements.
