The Town of Putnam Department of Public
Works provides a wide range of services. Among those
is the maintenance and repair of 64 miles of road which
includes 21 bridges, 17.5 miles of storm sewers with
over 900 hundred structures and over 18 miles of sidewalk.
Public Works is responsible for the repair and maintenance
of equipment and vehicles for the Public Works Department,
Parks and Recreation Department, Building Department
and the Town’s school bus fleet. It also administers
the town wide Curbside Trash and Recycling Program with
a private vendor that collects the trash and recycling
items. Also maintain buildings and grounds not under
the responsibility of other town departments or agencies. |
