Approval of Minutes: Review of the February 27, 2017 minutes was tabled

Public Participation: none

Communications: none

Financial Report: Everything looks good. Nothing remarkable

Old Business:

* Facilities Committee – Priscilla and Louise attended. No architects were present. There was no discussion about the library. Cost analysis will not be ready until May which looks like the referendum may be in September.

* Budget – Our budget is good to go.

New Business:

* Repairs/Maintenance -- quote from one mason $5000 for corners. Getting another quote from a Mr. LaBelle. Rug: NE Carpet is moving to a new location so quote is delayed until they are settled.

* Personnel policy -- tabled

* Future Planning -- nothing

Director’s Reports:

* Fiber: After meeting with Denise Roireau, Eric Gould and Mary Calorio, it was suggested that we take advantage of Bibliomation’s offer to use the Atlantic Broadband connection as a stopgap. Bibliomaton will reroute the connection so that we will not miss the CEN DSL line when it ends in June. Depending on the outcome of the referendum, we will decide what to do about Fiber installation. Maria Bernier, State Library expert, will meet with Priscilla tomorrow (3.28) and they will further discuss this issue.

* New bookshelves have been added to create space for books in the Teen section. There is absolutely NO More Space to be had!

* VITA will continue to do tax prep until April 12th

* Is it possible to change the May Board meeting from the 22nd to May 15th ? Priscilla will be out of town on the 22nd.

* Veterans Day closure? Will switch from closing on Friday (like the town offices) to closing on Saturday.

* All library programs have been going very well. Town Administrator came in for a visit on Tiny Tots day, a very busy day.

* Painting with Patty class is full already and coming soon.

Kathy DiPilato spoke: Friends group wants to have a book sale at the kickoff for the Summer Reading program on Saturday, June 10th 10 am -1 pm. They are looking for volunteers for the sale.

Louise: The Commission on Aging is sponsoring a workshop on scams (internet, phone etc.) on April 22nd at St. Mary’s Hall from 9-11 with Justin Lussier of Putnam Police Dept.

Adjournment: 7:59 pm
