The Putnam Fire Marshal and the
Office of the State Fire Marshal’s are part of the Division
of Fire, Emergency and Building Services of the Connecticut
Department of Public Safety.
We are responsible for enforcing
codes, standards and regulations in order to help reduce
the potential harm associated with devastating fires,
explosions and mechanical failures in the interest
of public safety.

to perform a variety of important duties to protect the
