About New England Plasma
New England Plasma is a full service thermal spray coating company
certified as a FAA Repair Station and Joint Aviation Authority Repair
Facility. It has an in-house process engineering, quality control
department and full service metallography laboratory and specializes
in the application of quality coatings for the aerospace overhaul
and repair, nuclear, land based turbine and various commercial industries.
Plasma coatings can be found in the automotive, heavy industrial,
printing, electronic and medical industries. In operations where
low heat input into the parent material is critical, plasma coatings
can be used in place of welding and brazing. Plasma coatings can
be applied to most metals including steel, aluminum, nickel and
cobalt alloys. The types of coatings applied can range from nickel
aluminum based alloys used for dimensional restoration, to tungsten
and cobalt based alloys used for protection of wear surfaces. Ceramic
coatings are also used to enhance the thermal protection of a product.
Also available are coatings made from plastics, which can be used
to provide a non-metallic protective covering. Depending on the
parent material, the coating applied and the application for use,
plasma coatings can be machined or sprayed to finish size.
New England Plasma provides daily pick-up and delivery services
within New England.
