Putnam Library Book Discussion
The Book Discussion group meets the second Saturday of the
month at 2 pm from September to June. Please see the
Event Calendar for the book to be discussed.
Ella Grasso Book Discussion
The Ella Grasso book discussion had its beginning in an outreach to
and collaboration with the Ella Grasso retirement community.
The group is open to all. If you would like to be involved in the
book discussion please call Patricia Jensen at the library
and request the book one month before the meeting.
Upcoming Adult Programs
Most programs will be held in the lower level of the library.
Free Computer classes are being held the first 4 Tuesdays of
every month from 1-2 pm. Space is limited because of small
class size so registrations are required. The four classes are
Introduction to Computers, Email Basics, Internet Basics and
Word Processing. Call the library at 963-6826 to reserve a spot
and start your technology journey!
As one of our computer students said,
"He who hesitates is lost! Dive in and try!".
The Scrabble Club meets every Monday night
from 6-8 pm. Bring your word acumen and competitive spirit!
The Bridge Club meets on Thursday afternoons from 1-4 pm.
New players are always welcome!
Periodic programs on various topics; such as craft, historical
or environmental, are offered throughout the year for adults.
These programs are usually located in the community room
in the lower level of the library. The library is interested
in offering programming which will encourage people
to learn new things throughout their life. Suggestions for
additional services and activities are always welcome.
The library offers outreach to homebound patrons
in the Town of Putnam. Please call the library at 963-6826
to request this service.
